Roger Hardy, Babcock International Group’s managing director – nuclear, has announced the future appointment of Simon Middlemas to the post of key account director NDA with Babcock International.
Simon will take up the appointment later this year after a new managing director for DSRL has been selected and is in post. Until this time, Stephen White will act as interim key account director NDA and Stephen and Simon will work closely together to establish the new working arrangements for this area.
In his new job, Simon will be responsible for the safe delivery performance and growth of all work at DRSL, RSRL, consultancy work for NDA and the development of new work to support the NDA and their contractors at other sites (e.g. Sellafield).
Roger Hardy explained: “I am pleased to welcome Simon to my executive team and the expertise and experience he brings to the post will be invaluable to our organisation during a time when delivery and safety performance is crucial in meeting the NDA’s business requirements”.
The changes also reflect a natural turnover to refresh the business and Simon Middlemas was quick to emphasise ‘it’s business as usual’ at the site.
Simon went on to add: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Dounreay and thank you all for your continual support and commitment through these challenging times. I’m proud to be part of what this site has achieved since I joined in 2004 and look forward to continuing to work with you when I take on my new role.”
Simon will continue to live in Caithness.
