DSRL has today published its Annual Report and Accounts for 2008/9 – the first since becoming a site licence company on 1 April 2008.
This is another step in the journey initiated by the Energy Act 2004.
The accounts show a profit of £780,000 for the year on turnover of £148m. At 31 March 2009 we held cash balances and short term bank deposits totalling £6.1m. This represents a healthy position after our first years trading.
The Director’s Report makes reference to our work in delivering the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority’s hazard reduction agenda, including the decommissioning and demolition of the plutonium criticality complex known locally as D8550. This project is also featured in the NDA’s Highlights from their 2008/9 Annual Report and Accounts, reflecting their recognition of the project’s success.
The Director’s Report also comments on our contribution to the NDA’s socio-economic agenda, charitable donations and our commitment to our employees and our suppliers.
