Firefighters from Highlands & Islands Fire & Rescue Service have tested their response to an incident at Dounreay in a joint exercise with members of the site fire brigade.
‘Exercise Foxtrot’ follows the success of a similar training exercise held a year ago.
This gave crews who could not attend last year’s event the opportunity to practice in the implementation of the H&IFRS Incident Plan for the Dounreay site.
Five tenders and 35 firefighters converged on a simulated fire in CEC2.
The exercise was very successful and gave the firefighters the opportunity to work together. All the objectives were achieved speedily and efficiently.
